Tocopherol
Vitamin E
"The skin-protecting antioxidant co-factor."
What it is
About Vitamin E
Vitamin E — as pure Tocopherol — is one of the most well-studied lipid-soluble antioxidants in skincare. At 1%, it plays a dual role in the Daily Glow Serum: protecting skin cells from oxidative damage and acting as a critical co-factor that stabilises and amplifies the activity of Vitamin C.

Key Benefits
What it does for your skin
Neutralises free radicals
Tocopherol is a potent lipid-soluble antioxidant that intercepts and neutralises free radicals generated by UV exposure, pollution, and metabolic processes — preventing the oxidative stress that accelerates skin ageing.
Stabilises and amplifies Vitamin C
Vitamin E and Vitamin C work synergistically: Tocopherol regenerates oxidised Vitamin C back to its active form, extending its antioxidant activity and significantly enhancing the overall photoprotective effect of the formula.
Reinforces the skin barrier
As a key component of the skin's natural lipid barrier, Tocopherol helps maintain membrane integrity, reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and improving skin softness and resilience.
Soothes and calms irritation
Vitamin E has well-documented anti-inflammatory properties. It helps reduce redness and irritation, making the formula more tolerable for sensitive skin types — particularly when combined with active ingredients like Vitamin C.
Supports skin repair
Tocopherol supports the skin's natural repair processes by protecting cell membranes from lipid peroxidation, contributing to improved skin texture and a healthier-looking complexion over time.
The Science
The science
Tocopherol functions as a chain-breaking antioxidant within cell membranes, interrupting lipid peroxidation cascades triggered by reactive oxygen species. Its synergy with Vitamin C is well-documented: the two antioxidants form a regenerative cycle where Vitamin C reduces oxidised Vitamin E back to its active form, and Vitamin E does the same for Vitamin C — creating a more durable and effective antioxidant network than either ingredient alone.
Tocopherol is a stable antioxidant that also contributes to the overall stability of the formula by protecting other actives — particularly Vitamin C — from oxidative degradation during storage and on the skin.
Our Concentration
1%
Vitamin E is effective at low concentrations (0.5–2%). At 1%, it provides meaningful antioxidant and barrier support without the greasy texture associated with higher levels. This concentration is specifically calibrated to complement the 15% Vitamin C in the formula.
How to Use
Vitamin E is delivered with every application of the Daily Glow Serum. Apply 3–4 drops to clean, dry skin morning and evening. In the morning, follow with SPF — the combination of Vitamin C and Vitamin E in the serum provides an additional layer of antioxidant photoprotection beneath your sunscreen.
